Yahoo SEO: MSN and Yahoo Forgotten?
So much effort goes into making a blog / website rank in Google that many webmasters forget that there are in fact other search engines out there. Yahoo and MSN just to name a few. In fact, if the truth be known, there are literally hundreds of smaller search engines and search portals out there. But I probably won’t be shaping my pages for a site that only has a few hundred clicks a month, not anytime soon that is.
Nope, this post is to remind you (and me) that there are two fairly large engines out there that don’t get discussed often. If you’re not looking at your rankings in these searches you are in fact missing out on a substantial amount of traffic.
So when you are working on your blog SEO don’t forget to monitor your progress with the other two search giants. Sometimes the traffic from Yahoo or MSN converts much better for certain products and services. Just because their is less traffic doesn’t mean it’s not traffic worth going after.
