It’s an exciting morning!

Yahoo Buzz has opened the flood gates to all websites and bloggers today. You can now add your content to the digglike Yahoo Buzz social bookmarking page.

What’s really cool is the traffic this is likely to generate for your business. By adding a button to your blog posts, your readers can now “buzz up” your latest blog post. If you get enough buzzes, your site will float to the top. In this case, the top could mean the front page of Yahoo.

At the very least, Yahoo Buzz is going to give Digg, Stumbleupon, Delicious, and the rest of the gang a run for their money. Because no matter how big these other social bookmarking giants are, Yahoo still has more traffic and users than all of them put together.

Though there is no official WordPress plugin for Yahoo Buzz yet, we have chopped up the addthis plugin and included the new Yahoo Buzz button.

If you are interested in having this button put into your blog, we’ll be posting a link to the code shortly.

We are also working on a straight version of the Yahoo Buzz button as a standalone plugin for WordPress. Which we think will be ready later today or early tomorrow. So keep checking back.
