Remarkable Corporate Blogs
Finding topics for this blog is pretty easy. Whenever I’m unsure of what I want to blog about for any given day, I am fortunate in that there are literally hundreds of websites I can turn to for inspiration.
This morning, I really had no idea what today’s topic was going to be. But while having my first two pots of coffee (it takes a bit for me to get the old motor running…) I was clicking the old StumbleUpon button and came across this gem from Seth Godin. Warning, this video is pretty long, just under 19 minutes. But if you have the time, it’s filled with valuable information that can be applied to business blogging.
The main point in this video is about your company, it’s products, and / or it’s services, being “remarkable.” Which is exactly what it takes for companies to stand out in today’s blogosphere. There are millions of business blogs out there. In order for yours to be successful it needs to be different. It needs to be remarkable. It needs to have something that the others don’t to be one of the few corporate blogs with an insane following.
Just like Seth says in this video, don’t take the safe road. Do something remarkable and get your site noticed. Don’t just blog day in and day out about the same products, the same boring services.
Make your blog different, make it remarkable.

While I don’t know Seth personally, I can say that he has quickly become one of my mentors via his videos and his books.
If you have the time, visit his site and pick up one of his books. You’ll be glad you did.
