Build a better blog post
How can you make your blog posts better?
If you have a corporate or small business blog, one of the ways to make your blog post better is to stop and think before you make that post. What product or service are you posting about? How exactly do you want to describe whatever it is that you want to talk about?
This may sound pretty basic, and it is for most. But for some company bloggers, this part of the posting is never done. They write super technical blog posts designed for people that sell their services or products rather than buy them.
Let me give you an example.
Let’s say you sell parts for a blender. Instead of posting something like “part #2332 oster blender” and a price, which is what some professional blogs do, how about posting something more user friendly? How about posting something that tells users about the part. “Yes, we do sell the gasket ring for the oster blender, part #2332, in fact, we sell a lot of them, because the gasket drying up on the oster spacemaker seems to be a consistent problem with that particular model or it’s production…”
Do you see what I did there? We took the same basic info, but added some more keywords and made it much more user friendly. Not only will it help you sell more product, but it provides your blog with more of a keyword mix and a much higher chance of grabbing some ‘long tail’ key phrases in the search engines. Bringing your overall traffic level higher and a much higher volume of potential customers.
So build a better blog post. Talk to your users and tell them what you sell. Then tell them why you sell it. Then tell them anything else you feel might be helpful and descriptive about the product. Overall it will add more content to your blog and might just bring up your profit margin.
