Blog post ideas
Looking for ideas for your next blog post?
Why?
You have them right in front of you, every single day. Even if your business is the dullest of the dull, you have plenty to blog about. You may just not know it.
Most business blogs suck. We’ve covered that for the most part. But the main reason they suck is that they are technical bores or pathetic pleas for more sales from potential customers.
So after you’re done writing the first month or two of of one or the other, what then? What to blog about?
Simple.
Blog about your business.
“Duh”, you say.
But you would be surprised at how this simple concept escapes many business bloggers. Why? Because they still try to either write tech papers or sales pitches every single day.
The problem with writing a sales pitch every day is that it gets boring. You just plain old run out of different ways to pitch your services. But what about your everyday activities? The things you are doing each day for your current clients? Or, if you don’t have any yet, what you are doing to get them?
Your daily activities are focused on your specific type of business. Therefore they cover most, if not all, of the keywords and phrases you are trying to nail down in the search engines. So if you write about your daily business activities, that is, what you are doing during the day, then you’ll hit the nail on the head.
Your blog will also become more of a resource. Let me give you an example. If you run a business that repairs something, write about the things you repair throughout the day. Pick one item you are working on that day, and write about it.
Write about the specifics. If you repair cars, write about one car you worked on today, why you worked on it, any reasons why that specific problem happens a lot with that particular model, or why it was unique in this instance.
This covers super specific keywords and phrases for you, gives your customers real value, and keeps the content flow going with your business blog.
Bammo, a shot to left field…
It’s going… Going…. Gone!
That baby is outa here!
By writing about what you are doing during the day you hit a home run with your business blog. So make your blog a better resource for your clients and potential customers.
And… Keep on bloggin’!

Purple Cowboys Marketing, which I’ve been in for almost 4 months is encouraging both blogging and forum posting. it is hard to stay on a topic or in a forum at this time, but I, too would like to encourage all to “keep on keeping on”. its a way to get noticed!
