Blogging Success: What it Takes to be the Best

As little as two years ago, a company could take the search engines almost like magic by writing their blog a couple of times a week. Some corporate sites sat at the top of the rankings with even less work. The question is this. Is a single blog post every day going to be enough to gain those same listings today?
The answer is probably going to surprise you, because it’s “maybe.” A big maybe. Because now there is probably more competition for those same listings. Companies similar to yours willing to put in just a little more time blogging, a little more time adding fresh content. Sometimes more than just a little. The blog post numbers we’re about to cover might surprise you.
Every year Technorati, an internet search engine devoted to indexing weblogs, publishes it’s “State of the Blogosphere report,” which you can read here.
In this report, Technorati publishes a ton of really useful data about blogs and blogging. I’m not going to cover every statistic in the 2008 report, because it would take me weeks. But I do want to cover one of the most glaring numbers I found when I read it. The number of blog posts for the top blogs.
Take a look at this picture:

No, that is not a typo. If you look at the numbers carefully, you’ll see that the top blogs are posting 11 times or more, each and every day. 43% of the world’s top bloggers are posting like madmen and women to be at the top of this list. Combining the next two columns we find that another 49% are writing between 2 and 10 blog posts every single day. That’s 92 out of the top 100 blogs boys and girls. Which makes one thing fairly clear. To be the best, it’s going to take some serious content.
Why are they posting so much you might be asking? It’s simple really. If one post a day was good, then two or three is better. If three is better, 10 posts a day is really going to rock. So that’s just what these blog superstars did, and are doing now.
It’s also what some of your competitors are doing. Because they want to be at the top of the search engines for the very same keywords and phrases that you do. Depending on your business, these listings can be worth millions to a company. Does it come as a surprise that they are willing to invest some more time and money in obtaining them?
Here’s where some of you might be shaking your head, wondering how you’re going to create all this content to keep up.
The solution, is staring you right in the face. Outsourcing is your answer. Here at Business Blogs we provide professional blogging services and daily blog posting for your company weblog. the content is not enough to rank good, everything is more complex this days, a lot of competition and i think it’s only the beginning.

Yes of course there are more factors, this is only one of them.
A big giant red flag, poke in the eye, slap yo’ mama factor….
By looking at the stats, it’s fairly clear to see that content is still…..
King.
