Blog Better by Blogging Faster
Every business blogger wants to improve their productivity. One of the ways to do that is to blog faster and more efficiently. This might sound difficult to the business bloggers out there that don’t type very well, or very fast.
Those of you that read my blog probably know that I don’t promote very many products. Except my own of course. Today I’m going to make an exception because I found a piece of software that both pro-bloggers and the typing handicapped should consider obtaining a copy.
I’m talking about the program Dragon Naturally Speaking. Which if you ask me, is quite probably the coolest piece of software I’ve ever owned. What does it do you might ask? I am so glad you did. Because what it’s going for me right now is writing this blog post for me without touching the keyboard. That’s right, its voice to text speech recognition software. You talk, it types.
How cool is that? In fact, this entire blog post is being written using the software.
A 250 word blog post in less than three minutes. Are you feeling me yet? Think of how productive this can be for your company. Can you talk faster than you type? I can type fairly fast, about 60 words a minute. What sold me on this product was the fact that Nuance (the company that makes the software) actually has a typing test on the front page of their website that allows you to take this challenge and compare your typing speed to talking speed.
One of my biggest concerns when purchasing the software was accuracy. The software would only be as good as the errors it makes was my thinking. But other than punctuation, and very few typographical errors, the software perform flawlessly when writing this blog post.

one of the hardest things to get used to with the software is learning the difference between dictation versus talking.
Once you learn how sensitive the software is, little by little it becomes more effective and a very valuable tool for business bloggers.
