Pictures make your blog better
Another way to increase your blogs popularity is to add pictures to your daily blog posts. This might sound like a small thing, but it’s bigger than you think.
People are visual. So it’s no surprise to find that people read more of what you have written if the first thing they see is an interesting photo or graphic. Even more if it directly relates to the content you have written that day. A funny cartoon or graphic that relates to your products or services might be just what the doctor ordered to make your blog more interesting.
Because your blog needs to be interesting for it to be an effective sales tool. Your visitors actually need to read your content for the blog to increase your business on smidge. And images can do just that.
Plus, pictures can help you in other ways. Namely, pictures on your blog can help you get further saturation in the search engines. Have you ever used Google Image Search? I use it all the time, and you can bet that many of your potential customers do too. Getting your images indexed in the image search can increase your traffic to your website.
Those same searches can affect your bottom line as well. Because if you name your images correctly, some of the search listings you can land can be extremely targeted to your specific company or business. By using “Alt” tags and naming your images with appropriate keywords you can get some number one listings in Google. Just in a different part of Google.
And don’t think that it’s a small part either. The image search gets a ton of users. Good listings there can relate to a ton of traffic.
Plus they just make your blog more interesting and user friendly. The whole idea is to build a resource, right? So consider adding some images to make your blog a better resource and more interactive for your users.
